Dude, where's my autofire?

I really likes the insane firepower from the first part of the game.. finally you didn't have to worry about accidently choosing the wrong weapon, you just got all three at once and could concentrate on dodging! ^_^ I loved the autofire, it seems like a bit of honest since all most folks too is jam the fire button until their fingers bleed. I like my present keyboard intact. Great game, do what's cool :)

Outsmart your enemy on the battlefield

I just started this game today, and got addicted to it right off!

A like the style of the game, deciding on which of the six base building to put in the four spots in your base, while your opponent might try a different set, and you can sell and change your setup (if you aren't blow up waiting for the new building to finish). Do you invest in more income, or more tech to do better with the troops you have? You don't have the headache of having to command troops, just watch them run toward the enemy's side of the screen. Since they all move to different speeds, you can plan ahead a little to make sure your snipers keeps up to your tanks near the opposing base, overwhelming the defenses.

There is, however, one strategy that I don't think any other can counter. The player who controls the airspace above the field can outfit a bomber, and completely destroy all enermy land forces underneath it until it hits the end of the screen, or oppossing fighters shoot it down. So, it you throw everything into Fighters and Bombers right from the beginning, any land heros and advances become worthless, since they can never reach your base.

I start off with the usual Factory and Commercial building, then build two airbases, then trash the Factory and replace it with a Research Center without even making a soldier. With two airbases you can have one undertake the slow process of equiping a Bomber while the other sends a steady stream of Fighters to cover it, and if you research Fighter Tech you get the bonus for 100% of your combat troops. Even better, you can save some money early on by letting your opponent's land forces do some damage to your base, then send out a fleet of Fighters and a Bomber while activating one of your 3 repairs at the same time. Without any way to get to your base, the enemy can't damage it and cancel the repair.. but if you have both airbases turning out fighters its near impossible for the enermy to repair.

The game needs a land unit than can attack aircraft to get around this - Blackfoot
