The most touching, disturbing thing I've seen

Wow.. I'm still deciding whether I love or hate this game, but since I've played it nearly to the end I've decided I love it. It really feels painfull, having to do mean things repeatedly to a star zombie pupil who's been very good, just to get Aggressive reactions. Once you start getting touching scenes with animals, you feel ashamed of you earlier rampages with automatic weapons.

I have one question though.. why don't you folks add music credits to the game info? I really want that "Green Cheese Sandwiches" song, not sure who did it. I know "Tetris on the Toilet" is Evil Dog though.

Cream Cheese is me too, check my profile.

Goofy pointless fun

The frame rate on this game certainly does well! After about one boost your car becomes so fast that you basically can't control it, and blaze from one scene to the next, forutnately able to destroy or jump over anything you collide with. A good link to give to a friend to applaud their horrible driving skills :P

For suggestions, maybe if there was a map to navigate, instead of each room you go into being random? I've gone back and forth between two screens and noticed they're different every time, if they stayed the same, and you had to use a landmine to jump over a wall to reach new areas, this game would have a good "Atari Adventure" feel to it.

Also, I know your car controls are realistic, but it just isn't that fun having to remember to accelerate and press turn at the same time, or your vehicle won't turn. Maybe if you have a hovercraft that you could use to straff a bit to the left or right, so hitting the powerups wouldn't take 5 super-accelerated misses? Maybe also a slow-down button, the current speed of the Car approaches uncontrolable paranoia :)

Sorry for the late reply.

I'm back on the project and several vechiles are planned, as well as a powerturn option. Once complete, the game will have a number of 'maps'.

A good game, but seriously buggy

A found a consistent bug while playing on the HARD setting: If you make your first buy a runabout, and concentrate your fire on the center screen (ships that would threaten the Starbase itself, since there's no -way- you can defend both the base and the adjacent shipyards that early in the game), on Level 2 if the upper shipyard gets destroyed, the starbase disappears and you suddenly get the intro screen super-imposed on top of the fleet battle, flashing and making it impossible to see. This happened to me three times in a row. This is a pity, since I really enjoyed the game on Easy level, but found it far too easy, especially with double the income and that 5000 starting bonus, which would take several levels to build up otherwise. But HARD mode simply isn't working, that or perhaps giving players 2500 credits up front to buy a few helpful ships to get them started. I really like the system where you amass a fleet, and they aid in firing on the incoming hordes. But you really need to bug check games before you send them in.

vex-xiang responds:

It has a lot of bugs. The one you are referring to (with the shipyards blowing up) is something I thought I'd fixed...but now its back. In any case, I might make another one someday and spend more time with it.
